Sproul staff meets students where they are and gives them multiple avenues in which to grow. We not only have advanced placement and remedial classes, we offer many electives to help learners explore and find their strengths and passions.

Sproul offers a wide variety of music classes including band, strings, choir, guitar, mariachi, and jazz band. From beginners to advanced students, we teach all musicians.

There are three leadership and communication classes that students may apply for: Student Leadership, Journalism and Yearbook, and KSJHS Student News and Broadcasting. Each of these courses rely on responsible students to lead the student body in many service projects. For more information about each class, please click on the specific links below.

KSJHS Student News

KSJHS Student News is a class for 7th and 8th grade students in which they create a 4 - 7 minute newscast each day. This broadcast is shown during E7 to all students and posted here. In order to become a part of this class, students need to apply and then go through an interview and tryout at the end of each school year for the next.

Project Lead the Way (PLTW)

Building a Strong Foundation
for High School, College, and Career

Each PLTW Gateway unit engages students in activities that not only build knowledge and skills in areas including computer science, engineering, and biomedical science, but also empower students to develop essential skills such as problem solving, critical and creative thinking, communication, collaboration, and perseverance.

Special Education

Student Leadership

Leadership is a semester long class where students will learn leadership skills through community service projects, running the student store, and spearheading Sproul events. Skills such as public speaking, counting money, advertising, and planning are all a part of this program. Students will increase their self-confidence and become role models for their peers. Integrity, initiative, and a strong work ethic is a must for this class.

Yearbook & Journalism

INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR YEARBOOK!

Our Yearbook and Journalism staff work hard every year to showcase every student and event that happens at Sproul. Students take all photographs and write all copy to produce our yearbook. The class is during our E7 period and all students must apply in order to be placed in the class.
