Sources of Strength

You belong here! We Are Sparta; We Are Sources of Strength!!!

Sproul Junior High has a group of peer leaders who positively impact the school community through fun activities. Check this page for ideas, connections, and celebrations from the team.

As Sources we are a group of diverse students and adults from many different corners and cultures of our Sparta family. We believe that life has ups and downs, that all of us will go through good times and tough times. Our mission is to ensure that during the rough times, no one gets so overwhelmed or hopeless that they want to give up. Sources of Strength is to prevent suicide by increasing help-seeking behaviors and promoting connections between peers and caring adults.

Our mission is to spread Hope, Help, and Strength into every corner of our Sparta community. Students and staff are dedicated to helping each other find strength through using all their sources and to Be Good To People.

Get to Step'n

This Month Sources Campaign is Healthy Activities. Healthy Activities range from doing something physical (working out, hiking for example) to reading a book, journaling, to doing something creative. So basically, anything that helps calms you and brings you up.

Sproul Source wants to bring us together and away from our computers. So let's get STEP'N. Track your steps and email those to your Source's Leader assigned to you. We will have prizes for 6th,7th, 8th, and staff high stepper. You will need to either track your steps on your phone using a step counter app. or odometer. We will be tracking our steps as a whole and have the goal of 150 thousand steps.
