Top of the Read-A-Thon card with Sproul's address

All the schools in the district have been asked to do a read-a-thon during the month of February to honor Tracy Vsetecka, a former district principal. We wanted to put our own spin on this idea and give incentives to both students and staff, and encourage our “community feel” by getting everyone involved.

All students will receive a "library card" with two staff members names on it and 2 blank spaces for students to choose two more staff members. During each week of the 4-week challenge, students will have a conversation with a staff member about their books. The staff member will then sign the students' cards. After 4 weeks and 4 signatures, the students will turn in their cards for a chance to win a gift card of their choice. Students with all four signatures will also receive a bracelet and an invitation to join us for a celebration on the football field. Select students will also be nominated to walk down to North Pre-School on a field trip to read to the preschool students.
