The mission of the Sproul Counseling Center is to provide a warm, inviting environment to help every learner through supporting academic, career, social and emotional needs to enhance growth.

If you would like to apply to be a part of KSJHS Student News, Leadership or Yearbook, please fill out the correct application below. All three of these classes are during your E7 period, so if you choose to apply for more than one class, you can only be selected for one. Applications will be available March 4th, and are due by Friday, March 15th. Due to limited space, not all applicants will be accepted into the course.

Pre-teens and teenagers need guidance navigating our digital world.

Parental Controls on Apple Products - With Content & Privacy Restrictions in Screen Time, you can block or limit specific apps and features on your child's device. You can also restrict the settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch for explicit content, purchases and downloads, and privacy.
Bark is one of many apps that parents can use to monitor texts, email, YouTube, and 30+ apps and social media platforms for signs of issues like cyberbullying, sexual content, online predators, depression, suicidal ideation, threats of violence, and more.
With Family Link, you decide what’s best for your family. Easy-to-use tools allow you to understand how your child is spending time on their device, share location, manage privacy settings, and more.

Social Media

Many parents and guardians purchase their child's first phone during middle school. We do caution parents/gurardians about allowing social media at this age. Most of our issues begin outside of school on social media. Therefore, we highly suggest parents wait to allow their children to have social media accounts until high school. when they are more mature. However, whatever age you decide is best, please be sure you know what apps are on your child's phone, and that they are using them appropriately.
